They want to show the beauty and power of their extreme form of spirituality. And they hope eventually to reverse a state ban on handling snakes in church.

King James Version of the Gospel of Mark:

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

April Brucker is an author, actress, comedienne, ventriloquist, and television personality whose career spans

live entertainment, broadcasting, and the performing arts. As one of the most visible contemporary advocates

for ventriloquism, she has dedicated her career to preserving and promoting the rich legacy of an art form that

has played an important role in American culture for more than two centuries.

and authorship.
