  • Prescott Valley Police Department Hiring Police Officers

    The Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) is a growing agency in a vibrant community that is looking for outstanding, motivated people to serve as police officers. The PVPD offers job opportunities in specialized units, such as bike patrol, traffic enforcement, school resource officers, SWAT, K9, and Drug Enforcement with medical and dental benefits, tuition reimbursement, take home vehicles, and work/life balance.

    The PVPD will be hosting its next test date on Saturday, February 28, at 9am at the Police Department at 7601 E Skoog Boulevard. Attendance at this testing event is by invitation only and applicants must submit an online application through the Town of Prescott Valley and complete an online AZPOST Personal History Statement.

    To be considered for testing, please complete the steps below:

    First: Go to my.azpost.gov, the website for Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training, to create an account and complete your Personal History Statement online. You will be issued a form ID number. Write this number down. Click the “share” button and check the box next to Prescott Valley Police Department.

    Second: Apply online at: governmentjobs.com/careers/prescottvalleyaz for police officer recruit positions and laterals. Once your application is submitted, a background investigator will contact you to obtain your form ID number, send you documents, and schedule you for testing.

    For assistance with your application or if you have questions, call PVPD at 928-772-9261 and ask for the backgrounds unit.

    Asphalt paving operations are complete along Main Street, between Mingus Avenue and SR 89A/Cottonwood Street. With this work finished, the City of Cottonwood (City), Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and Combs Construction Company (Combs) are proud to announce that this phase of the Main Street Improvements Project is substantially complete. The only remaining construction item is final pavement striping, which will occur in the spring when temperatures rise. This phase of the project, which was partially funded by a Federal Highway Association/ADOT Transportation Alternatives Grant, included reconstructing select concrete curb, gutter and driveway entrances before removing and replacing the existing...

  • Flock Safety Cameras to Be Removed From City Streets

    The Flagstaff City Council voted in December 2025 to terminate the City’s contract with Flock Safety for automated license plate recognition technology. Following that decision, all cameras covered under the contract were immediately turned off and have not collected any data since. City staff are working closely with Flock Safety to ensure the deactivated cameras are physically removed as quickly as possible. On Jan. 28, 2026, Flock Safety informed City staff that they have obtained the right-of-way permit required and that the cameras will be removed by Thursday, Feb. 5.
