  • Prescott to Recieve $15 Million for Rodeo Grounds Improvements

    With the recent approval of the state budget, the City of Prescott is set to receive .3 million for infrastructure improvements at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds. The funds, which were originally allocated to Prescott Frontier Days in 2023, were in limbo after a Maricopa County judge ruled the allocation violated the state’s gift clause. Contrary to some reports, the City was not involved in that litigation.     The Prescott National Forest (PNF) is proposing to change the management of a camping area on Mingus Mountain. The PNF proposes to convert several existing campsites currently managed under a special use permit for a private club to public use.
