God of Second Chances | Genesis 8–9

Have you ever felt like you’ve failed too many times? Like you’ve wandered too far from God to come back?

In Genesis 8–9, we see a powerful reminder that God is a God of second chances. After the flood, God gave Noah and his family a new beginning. Despite knowing the sinful condition of mankind, God extended grace, renewed His purposes, and established His covenant.

When God’s Judgment Doesn’t Make Sense | Genesis 6–8

What do we do when we come across something in the Bible that we don’t fully understand?

The account of Noah and the global flood raises difficult questions—about the sons of God, the Nephilim, God’s judgment, and the destruction of the earth. While there are mysteries we may not have all the answers to, one thing remains certain: we can trust the character of God.

In Genesis 6–8, we see three undeniable truths:

🔹 The Corruption of Mankind — Sin has deeply corrupted humanity, and our hearts are naturally drawn away from God.

🔹 The Judgment of God — God is holy and just. Sin demands judgment, and every person will one day give an account to Him.

🔹 The Grace of God — Even in the midst of judgment, God provided a way of escape. Noah believed God, built the ark, preached righteousness, and entered through the one door of salvation.

The story of Noah reminds us that God is both holy and gracious. Judgment is coming, but God is still longsuffering, giving people an opportunity to repent and receive His grace.

Just as Noah prepared and preached, we are called to prepare for Christ’s return and preach the Gospel to those around us.

Mankind’s corruption invites God’s judgment, but God’s character provides grace.

FCF: True Religion — The Gospel Changes Everything!

What does genuine faith actually look like?

In James 1:18–27, we discover that true religion is not merely what we say we believe—it is a life that has been transformed by the Gospel. When Jesus saves us, He changes our hearts, our conduct, and our purpose.

In this message, we look at three marks of True Religion:

1. True Religion Is Powerful Enough to Change Me — The Gospel gives us new life and transforms the heart. Our words, thoughts, and actions should increasingly reflect the work of Christ in us.
2. True Religion Is Pure Religion — Because God has called us to holiness, we must guard our lives against the stains of sin and the influences of the world. Grace is not an excuse to continue in sin; grace empowers us to pursue holiness.
3. True Religion Is Purposeful Enough to Send Me — Genuine faith moves us toward people in need. James specifically points us toward the fatherless, widows, and afflicted. Good works and the good news of the Gospel belong together.

The Gospel does more than change what we believe—it changes who we are, how we live, and what we live for.

Don’t Just Hear the Word—Live It | James 1:19–25

What does it mean to truly accept the Word of God?

Is it enough to attend church, listen to sermons, read the Bible, and know Scripture? James gives us a challenging answer: True acceptance of the Word is not merely hearing it—it is living it out by faith.

The Source of Temptation, the Course of Sin, and the Gift of Salvation | James 1:13–18

Why do we give in to temptation? Where does sin come from? And what hope does God offer us in the battle against sin?

In this message from James 1:13–18, we examine the serious reality of temptation and the incredible goodness of God.

The Burdens and Blessings of Trials | James 1:9–12

Trials are real. The pain is real. The burdens we carry in this life are real.

But God's Word gives us a perspective that the world cannot offer: every trial has a blessing when we endure it by God's grace.
