  • Mind Reading Isn’t Foreplay: How to Talk About Sex, Trauma Triggers and What You Actually Want
    2026/09/04

Sex gets complicated fast when nobody feels allowed to say what they want. We sit down with Stephanie Brooks, a mother and minister with lived experience in the kink community, to talk about the skill most couples skip: honest sexual communication. We dig into why “he should just know” keeps people stuck, how identity and comfort levels shape your voice, and what it looks like to ask clearly for what you need without turning it into an attack. When a partner can hear feedback with maturity, intimacy gets easier. When they cannot, that tells you something important about the relationship.

We also go trauma-informed and real. Barbara shares how a flashback can hijack the moment, even with a loving spouse, and we unpack how to talk about triggers, boundaries, and what is truly safe play. Stephanie brings in frameworks from BDSM culture that apply to everyone: negotiation, consent, and aftercare. The goal is simple and serious at the same time: nobody leaves an intimate experience feeling unsafe, ashamed, or alone with what just happened.

Then we step into the faith conversation. We name the shame that can grow in church spaces around sexuality, and we talk about spiritual maturity, personal responsibility, and trusting God while still owning your desires and limits. Stephanie also shares how her journey shaped her ministry, Women Who Loves Christ Ministries, and the practical ways she serves people in everyday life.

If you want healthier relationships, better sex, and stronger boundaries that protect your mental health, hit play, then subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find the conversation.

  • What If Your Next Rank Is Self Worth
    2026/08/28

Something shifts when the uniform comes off and the world expects you to “just move on.” AJ Williams joins us with a raw, honest look at what military transition really feels like after more than 20 years of service: identity loss, pressure to stay strong, and the mental health aftermath that can show up as PTSD, grief, and numbness when you never gave yourself time to heal.

We get into the story behind her next chapter, including the influence of her late husband, a podcaster who proved that consistency matters more than a big audience. From there, we coach through the trap so many high performers fall into: perfectionism dressed up as responsibility. If you’ve ever told yourself you can’t start until the LLC is filed, the branding is perfect, or you feel “ready,” we unpack how that self-talk becomes an unhealthy relationship with yourself and how to break it with action you can take now.

AJ also shares her mission behind Sister Soldier Speaks, her affirmation-focused work for women of color, and her vision for mentorship and business development for veteran women and families. We talk protection, community, and what it means to know your worth without needing a title to validate it. If you’re rebuilding after service, divorce, loss, or burnout, this is a roadmap for choosing yourself and still serving others from a full cup.

Subscribe for more conversations on mental health and breaking unhealthy patterns, share this with someone in transition, and leave a review with the one line that hit you hardest.

  • You Can Prove Every Doubter Wrong
    2026/08/14

Someone tells you you’re not going to make it and for a second your brain believes them. That single moment can become a life sentence, or it can become the spark that forces a pivot and proves them wrong. We sit down with Dominic Megaly to talk about the kind of self-belief that looks “delusional” from the outside, and why it is often the exact mindset you need to survive year zero, rebuild after setbacks, and keep going when nothing is guaranteed.

We get practical early: what Dominic learned while chasing a weight loss goal, why daily movement matters, and how refueling your body affects your results. From there we move into confidence, coaching, and the real-life pressures that can shape young athletes, plus the everyday challenges that come with being exceptionally tall. The bigger thread is mental health and identity: when your plan collapses, you still need a stable sense of who you are.

Then the story turns to resilience and entrepreneurship. Dominic shares what it felt like hearing “you’ll never succeed” from someone he trusted, how he gave himself space to feel it without getting stuck, and why immediate action matters more than motivation. We also talk about the messy middle of building a marketing agency from scratch: broken systems, learning contracts, finding the right tools, running a numbers game with ads and referrals, and surrounding yourself with people who bring solutions instead of doubt.

If you’re rebuilding after an unhealthy relationship, a career setback, an injury, or a season of uncertainty, this conversation is a reminder that pivots are not failures, they are strategy. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs a push, and leave a review with the biggest pivot you’re making next.
