The Dallas Wings (27-17) face elimination after a 77-73 loss to the Golden State Valkyries, ending their 2026 playoff run. Despite Arike Ogunbowale's record 45 points and Jessica Shepard's 12 rebounds, injuries to Iliana Rupert, Alanna Smith, Azzi Fudd, and Costanza Verona doomed their defense. Brett and Erica analyze the Wings' 4th place standing in the Western Conference Division and discuss critical free agency targets.

This episode covers the Wings' offensive strengths led by Paige Bueckers' playmaking and Ogunbowale's scoring, contrasted with their lack of bench depth and defensive versatility. We predict the team will prioritize signing a veteran rim-protecting center and a shooting guard to create spacing. Key players discussed include Arike Ogunbowale, Jessica Shepard, Paige Bueckers, Gabby Williams, and Veronica Burton.

The hosts project a 32-win season for 2027 if the front office executes its strategy. We revisit prior predictions about retaining Shepard and adding defensive depth. The Valkyries' comeback, fueled by Gabby Williams' fourth-quarter surge, highlights the gap between tier-one and tier-two teams in the West.
