  • Eternity: Love Triangles Don’t End… Even When You Do
    2025/12/10

This week, we stepped into the afterlife with Eternity, where forever isn’t just a concept, it’s a choice. Joan, played by Elizabeth Olsen, finds herself facing the world’s most stressful romantic dilemma: spend eternity with her longtime husband of 60 years, Larry (Miles Teller)… or reunite with her first love, who heroically died in the Korean War but is suddenly very much back in the picture (Callum Turner).

Needless to say, things get complicated fast.

We’re breaking down the film’s biggest swings, the emotional chaos, the standout performances, and of course answering the ultimate question: Is Eternity worth the trip to the theater, or is this one better saved for a cozy night on the couch?

  • Zootopia 2: Justice for Scales!
    2025/12/03

This week, we’re slithering back into the world of Zootopia. Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) return for their biggest case yet in Zootopia 2, teaming up with their new reptilian bestie Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan) to uncover why reptiles are mysteriously banned from the city. Old friends pop in, new faces steal scenes, and the dynamic duo’s chemistry is still as sharp as ever.

Visually, the movie is stunning, like, “I want this as my desktop background” stunning. And Judy and Nick’s banter? Still top tier. But while the film tackles big themes like discrimination, power, and community, it plays things a little too safe, making some moments feel predictable when they could’ve hit harder.

So grab your popcorn and join us as we break down the case, the comedy, the commentary, and whether Zootopia 2 was worth the trip back.

  • The Hand That Flopped the Cradle
    2025/11/05

This week, we’re rocking our way through a double feature, the 1992 classic The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Hulu’s shiny new reboot.

In the original, a picture-perfect family hires a seemingly perfect nanny… who turns out to be terrifyingly good at multitasking (revenge, manipulation, and interior design). Meanwhile, Hulu’s reboot tries to modernize the story, and somehow loses all the tension, charm, and, well… logic. 😬

We break down what worked back in ’92, why the new version misses the mark, and why some things are better left un-remade. Spoiler: nothing compares to the original. 🎙️💀

Ring, ring… it’s The Black Phone 2, and it’s calling collect. Ethan Hawke returns as The Grabber, but does this sequel have enough to keep us on the line?

Between Gwen’s dream-phone visions and Finn’s post-trauma spiral, we had plenty to scream about, and not always for the right reasons. 😅

One of us hung up. The other answered. Tune in to see who’s still on the call. 🎧💀

  • Trauma, but Make It Nostalgic: Our First Horror Scars 👻
    2025/10/15

It’s our Halloween Special, and we’re doing something a little different (and possibly unwise): revisiting the first horror movies that scarred us for life and started our love affair with the genre. 💀

One of us met a foul-mouthed doll with a voodoo problem (Child’s Play, 1988), while the other couldn’t sleep thanks to a guy who kills you in your dreams (A Nightmare on Elm Street, 1984). Cute, right? 😅

Join us as we relive the childhood trauma, share fun facts from behind the screams, and decide which film messed us up more. It’s spooky, it’s nostalgic, and it’s probably cheaper than therapy. 🩸🎬
