概要
Is it possible to fulfill yourself creatively, complete your administrative work, have a social life, and do the menial tasks of life while also trying to survive? That’s what Australian collective Pony Cam is trying to figure out with their Off-Broadway show Burnout Paradise. With the help of the audience, four performers on treadmills try to balance all of the sectors of a full life while racing against the clock in the most exhilarating show New York has seen in awhile.
I had a great conversation with Pony Cam’s Claire Bird, Ava Campbell, and William Strom about how they conceived the show, what they’ve learned from touring it around the world, and why audiences keep coming back for more.
Get tickets for Burnout Paradise at burnoutparadise.com running through May 23 at the Astor Place Theatre Off-Broadway.
