America has a problem politically; the two-party system has created a Dualocracy: you are either a Democrat or a Republican, a liberal or a conservative, a Woke or a MAGA. The competition between the two parties has created a soccer hooligan mentality!

The name-calling that results from this limited, two-party system is just the symptom of the problem. The problem is love is leaving people's hearts in American politics. When people go down their liberal or conservative rabbit holes, they forget about love.

The same principles of love found in An Algorithm of Love can and should be asserted to stop the influence the Dualocracy has created in American politics.

More democracy is the way to save democracy in America. Love dictates that people choose for themselves. With a few changes, "We the People" will no longer have to filter their choices through the Republicans and Democrats.

Let the people decide by creating additions to the political process in America. Direct democracy would do what it says: bring democracy directly to We the People.

Politicsandlove.com and Steve Scot discuss how Love asserts that We People need initiative, recall, referendum, ranked-choice voting, elimination of primary elections, term limitations on Congress and the judiciary, making the Attorney General an elected position, and ending gerrymandering.

May God Bless America, and may God bless you!

  • Term Limits: A Path to a Healthier Democracy and the Downfall of Career Politicians
    2024/06/19

Are we ready to say goodbye to career politicians and hello to a healthier democracy? Join me, Steve Scott, as we confront the pervasive issue of term limits in American politics. Inspired by Lord Acton's famous words on the corrupting nature of absolute power, we explore how the absence of term limits has allowed corruption to take root in Congress. With entrenched political power leading to predictable election outcomes, it's time to discuss the potential benefits of introducing term limits for the House, Senate, and judicial branches. From examining historical figures like Joe McCarthy to highlighting the need for fresh leadership today, this episode looks at how term limits can invigorate our democratic processes and curb corruption.

But how can we make this vision a reality? In this episode, I emphasize the importance of grassroots organizing and pushing for political reform, particularly through state conventions—potentially bypassing the need for a constitutional amendment. The urgency to eliminate career politicians is clear, and we explore both legal and constitutional methods to achieve this transformation. Ending on a hopeful note, I share the evocative lyrics of Barbara Rose's song, reminding us that love and unity hold the power to resolve conflicts and bring about lasting societal change. Tune in for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion on reshaping American politics through term limits.

  • The Transformative Power of Love: Uniting a Nation Through Hope, Ethics, and Compassion
    2024/06/01

Can we stop the passion of politicians and turn to love to solve our political problems? That's the bold question Steve Scott from Lubbock, Texas, discusses in this episode. Steve introduces us to his innovative "algorithm of love"—a heartfelt methodology aimed at dissolving political divisiveness through integrating love. He demonstrates how Republicans and Democrats use passion as a substitute for love.

This isn't just theoretical; we delve into the practical application of love in fostering a more united and compassionate society, emphasizing the role of love, especially in the most challenging scenarios. Hence, passion becomes the enemy of love.

As we shift the conversation to promoting love and unity in America, we explore the delicate balance between maintaining our governmental foundations and advocating for necessary reforms. Steve offers thought-provoking insights into how love can act as a catalyst for accountability and effective governance.

Love tells Steve, and Steve tells America that direct democracy through initiative, recall, referendum, eliminating primary elections, ranked-choice voting, term limitations, and making the attorney general an elected official federally are what We The People, not the politicians, should have.

  • Challenging Ideologies: A Look at the Absurdities in Current Political Narratives
    2024/05/20

Can the very fabric of our political system survive as extremists continue to tug at its edges? Steve Scott tackles with enthusiasm in our latest episode from the heart of Lubbock, Texas, on politicsandlove.com. We don't just scratch the surface; we tear into the ideological war that starkly divides Pornservatives and Libertrans—terms I use to spotlight the radicalism pervading our two-party system. It's a no-holds-barred conversation that peels away the layers of hypocrisy and challenges the championed ideals of family values. With each media outlet pushing its agenda, we examine the role of CNN, MSNBC, and Fox in cementing this polarization, asking whether we're all just pawns in a giant game of political chess.

Prepare to be challenged as we dissect the paradox of 'poor conservatives' who preach propriety yet indulge in the antithesis of what they profess. We scrutinize the spectacle of Wokes and Magas, groups that have adopted derogatory labels with a baffling sense of pride, and consider how such extremism is not only influencing but steering the political discourse. With each side spending exorbitant sums while claiming fiscal conservatism, Steve Scot confronts the absurdity of the current state of affairs. He invites you to join us in scrutinizing the contradictions and theatrics of today's political arena. It's a candid discussion that will leave you questioning the very narratives we've been fed—and perhaps even the ideologies we hold dear.
