Larry Lannan talks with Laura Cole, chair of Advance HSE, the political action committee advocating passage; HSE Superintendent Dr. Matt Kegley; and Assistant Superintendent for Finance Tim Brown about the referendum on the November 3, 2026, ballot. The conversation covers changes in Indiana property tax law, the maximum rate on the ballot versus the district’s planned 2027 rate, and Brown’s estimate of a $26 annual increase for the median homeowner in the first year.
