In the Bible, God’s people had to be told to stop giving. Episode Six of the Heaven’s Economy Blueprint™ Podcast, The Pattern on the Mountain, walks through Exodus to the place where the whole architecture of Heaven’s Economy is revealed in action.

IN THIS EPISODE

The chapters of Exodus almost everyone skims, and the sentence hiding inside them: see that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain. The posture the tabernacle teaches every builder: before asking what we can invent, we can ask what God has already made clear through Scripture, prayer, wisdom, burden, gifting, and the needs He has placed before us. The five beats of Heaven’s Economy playing out in order: God reveals, God entrusts, God equips, God’s people participate, God is glorified. The craftsman you met in Episode Two, and the detail held back until now: the gift was given with the ability to teach others already inside it. The morning-after-morning offerings of Exodus 36, and the moment the giving had to be restrained because there was already more than enough. And the provision God places around an assignment: skill, wisdom, people, material, opportunity, and sometimes enough for only the next faithful step.

PRACTICE

One question, asked each morning before the work begins: What have I been shown? Some of what fills your days was absorbed, imitated, or added out of fear. Some of it carries the unmistakable weight of assignment. Ask the question daily this week, and notice which parts of your work answer back.

SCRIPTURES

Exodus 25:40, Exodus 31:1–5, Exodus 35:34, Exodus 36:2–7 (NIV)
