This is exciting. It’s our Christmas Eve worship podcast and we are spending it together. Of course some of you might not be catching this until the Holiday’s are past or maybe not even anywhere close. But the great thing about it is - this is relevant to you and always will be, no matter what time of year you’re listening.

The song I’ve chosen to base this worship podcast on today, is familiar to most and applicable to all. Oh Holy Night was written by Dylan Thomas/ John Sullivan Dwight/ Michael Guy Chislett and Placide Cappeau - which I’m sure I pronounced wrong.

Let me ask all you mothers out there a quick question - what comes to mind when you hear the title of today’s worship podcast? “A Mother’s Secret”.

For me, I think of those cherished moments or wonderful secrets that you and your child share, for a time.

Mary, the eartly mother of Jesus, knew a wonderful secret about her son. But after those initial visitors acknowledged the Messiah in her arms that holy evening of his birth, she also knew that she had but a few years to hold his mission in trust, until His time had come.

Today, we’re going to talk a little bit more about what this mother knew for a time, and what it meant to others once it was time to reveal it to the world.

Today we’re entering a season that can bring such joy to those who celebrate within the knowledge and hope of it’s true purpose - To honor the one Called Immanuel.

Well, we’ve made it to Thanksgiving week and today, as promised, we have reached our Thanksgiving Special. I can’t wait to get started so, let’s move on into our place of worship, shall we? See you soon.

Today we’re going to get to the heart of the matter when it comes to worship.

We’re going to be entering a time of praise and thanksgiving here in this place of worship. After all, it is November upon the original release of this episode. Our song today is entitled “We Praise You” and was written by Brandon Lake/Brian Johnson/ Matt Redman/ and Phil Wickham.

They are an incredible team of writers whose songs I have used quite a few times now.

When I listened to this song, God brought to mind one of my favorite stories in the old testament. I get the privilege of sharing that with you today as well as the words to this amazing song.
