このコンテンツについて
In this episode of the podcast, I discuss what it really means to ask someone to take their picture, battling camera shyness, and the importance of remembrance and images. Even if you don’t consider yourself photogenic, the lens may still be your friend.

What Didn’t I Say On The Podcast?
The age of the selfie has often been depicted or perceived as one of peak narcissism, and while that aspect is certainly on display in many cases, I also see this era of selfies and TikTok videos as not just fueled by mass media influenced ego but by a transcendent longing that we all share, and that is to be known, for our presence to be recognized in one form or another. Many seek fame but most just want affirmation of their existence, through the eyes and acknowledgment of others is the only way reality gets confirmed, or else it really could all just be a dream.
