  • #13 - The 1914 Productivity Rule Every Entrepreneur Needs

A forgotten idea from 1914 completely reshaped how I handle work, focus and momentum.

It came from a farmer who carried a pocket notebook and wrote down jobs that could wait for “rainy days” so he could protect the clear hours that actually produced results. That one principle helped me rethink how I approach sales, business development, admin work and even the way I manage my attention day to day.

In this episode, I break down how that old farming principle applies to entrepreneurship, productivity and time management today. I also share how I use pocket notebooks to capture ideas, manage ADHD, stay accountable and stop low-value tasks from eating up the parts of the day when I perform at my best.

If you’re building a company, growing a brand, running a sales pipeline or simply trying to get more done without feeling scattered, this episode will help you work with more intention.

    In this episode:

→ The forgotten farming principle that transformed how I work
→ How to identify your highest-value windows during the day
→ The difference between revenue-producing activity and maintenance work
→ Why most people waste their sharpest hours on the wrong things
→ How I use analog tools to stay focused and organized
→ A simple way to handle admin tasks without losing momentum
→ What “dry weather” and “rainy days” look like in modern business
→ How to build a better system around energy, timing and execution

  • #12 - Is It Time To Push Or Pivot?

Before Leonardo da Vinci became one of history’s greatest artists, one of his earliest commissions looked and smelled like a complete disaster.

He locked himself inside a room filled with dead lizards, bats, snakes and insects while creating a monster for a painted shield. From the outside, the process looked strange, messy and impossible to understand. But Leonardo could already see how the pieces were supposed to come together.

In this episode, I break down what that story teaches us about building a successful business. Every entrepreneur, founder and creator eventually reaches an ugly stage where progress feels invisible, the work looks unfinished and the people around them start questioning the vision.

That does not always mean you are failing. Sometimes, it means you are still building something other people cannot see yet.

    In this episode:

→ The strange story behind one of Leonardo da Vinci’s earliest commissions
→ Why the beginning of a successful business often looks like failure
→ How to keep working when nobody else understands the vision
→ Why sharing unfinished work too early can hurt your progress
→ When building in public helps—and when it becomes a distraction
→ How to choose the right people for honest business feedback
→ Why your closest circle may not recognize the value of your idea
→ How to survive the ugly stage of entrepreneurship without quitting

If your business, personal brand, podcast, startup or side hustle feels messy right now, don’t quit here. Keep working until the finished product can speak for itself.

  • #11 - Why You Should Talk To Strangers, From Someone That Talks To Strangers For A Living

I never liked talking to my barbers, but then I ended up at the new @Floyds99Barbershop in Maitland Florida. I used to sit down, get my haircut and leave without saying much.

Then, three years ago, a stylist told me she wasn’t comfortable doing the fade I wanted and moved me into someone else’s chair. I didn’t know it at the time, but the stranger standing behind that chair would eventually become one of my best friends.

In this episode, I talked to one of my best friends ( @shearbrilliance ) about why conversations with strangers matter, the “good bricks” people can add to our lives and how one unexpected interaction can turn into something much bigger. We also get into anxiety, brotherhood, business, faith and the importance of having people around you who will walk with you through difficult seasons.

    **In this episode:**

→ Why I normally avoided talking to my barbers
→ The unexpected chair change that started our friendship
→ What we can learn from the strangers around us
→ The “good bricks” the right people add to our lives
→ Why we can’t allow anxiety to control our decisions
→ The importance of brotherhood during difficult seasons
→ How faith became part of our everyday conversations
