Meet Persephone, the Greek goddess of spring and Queen of the Underworld, and discover what her story might reveal about finding yourself within chapters of life you never chose.
Persephone’s story begins with something she did not choose. She is taken from the world she knows and brought into the Underworld, while her mother Demeter’s grief changes the world above.
But Persephone’s story doesn’t end with the girl who was taken.
What stayed with us was not the idea that suffering made her powerful, or that she needed darkness in order to become who she was. It was something much more human:
Entering a chapter she never chose did not prevent her from becoming powerful within it.
We explore the wisdom we found in Persephone’s story, answer the question she brought us, and invite you to sit with your own answer too.
We close with a breathing and embodiment practice centred around carrying your own light with you, even through seasons that feel dark.
Thriving doesn’t always have to look like blooming.
Some seasons are for flowers. Some are for roots. Some are for rest. And sometimes, thriving means simply keeping one small light alive until the season changes.
You can know darkness without belonging only to it.
✨ Listen to discover the question Persephone has for you.
