    Episode 4: Dorm Rooms, Drop-Offs & Adulting — A Year in Review

Moms on Pause - Midlife, Menopause, & the Mundane

In this reflective episode of Pause Pleas3, we look back on our kids’ first year of college — and everything it stirred up in us. From the teary goodbyes at dorm drop-off to the quiet of the house that followed, we unpack what this milestone meant as moms, women in midlife, and humans in transition.

We talk about the surprises (good and hard), the letting go, the checking in (too much? not enough?), and the strange in-between space of still parenting… just from a distance. Meanwhile, we’re managing our own changes — identity shifts, and the everyday stuff that doesn't pause just because we’re feeling all the feels.

What did we learn this year? About them, about ourselves, about what’s next? Grab your coffee or your wine — we’re talking honesty and hope as we close one chapter and look toward what’s ahead.

Because as it turns out, they’re not the only ones growing.

Episode 3: Stuck in the Middle — Parenting Up, Parenting Down

Moms on Pause - Midlife, Menopause, & the Mundane

In this episode of Pause Pleas3, we’re diving into the emotional juggling act of being the “sandwich generation” — caring for aging parents while still showing up for our grown (or almost-grown) kids. It’s a role no one really prepared us for, and yet here we are… managing medications and college move-outs, and doctor appointments — all while trying to survive Thursday and maybe remember where we left our coffee.

We open up about the weight of being needed on both ends, the invisible labor no one sees, and the quiet grief of watching roles reverse with our parents. It's exhausting, tender, often absurd — in that “everyday hero” kind of way.

So how do we care for everyone else without losing ourselves in the process? That’s what we’re figuring out — one hard conversation and one deep breath at a time.

If you’ve ever felt caught in the middle, this episode is your reminder: your story matters.

Episode 2: Where Will They Land — And Where Does That Leave Us?

Moms on Pause - Midlife, Menopause, & the Mundane

In this episode of Pause Pleas3, we’re talking about that weird, wonderful, and wildly uncertain phase of life when your kids are launching (or circling the runway) — and you're trying to figure out what comes next for you.

As moms in midlife, we’re navigating shifting hormones, shifting roles, and now... possibly a change in zip code. Do we follow our kids? Stay put? Downsize? Dream big? Move to a place that feels more us now that we’re no longer tethered to school districts and soccer schedules?

We get real about the emotional rollercoaster of letting go, the logistics of grown-ish kids, and decisions like: Should we sell the house? What does “home” even mean now?

All this may be making us sweat, but it’s also making us think — about freedom, family, and where we want to plant our next roots.

If you’re wondering where you’ll land once they do — you’re in good company.
