The church at Ephesus was addressed. Jesus shares His knowledge regarding this church. He knows their deeds, toil and perseverance. He knows that they do not tolerate evil men and have weeded out the false apostles. Then He addresses the root problem of the church, that they have left their first love, Jesus.

John's greeting continues. The description of Jesus. There is a call for writing revelation to the church. John's response to Jesus & the commission given to John.

The background of Revelation. Understanding the nature of this book being prophetic. Symbolic language doesn't mean the passage becomes allegorical. The introduction from John & blessing from God.

The failures of humanity that occurs with all the previous covenants. The Holy Spirit is part of this covenant - Ezekial 36:24-28.
