  • The Container Nobody Opened
    2026/09/25

A read-only architecture review, nine questions about how a client's platform was built, and nobody had asked about security at all. Three ordinary-looking facts, sitting in three different services, turned out to mean something once you put them together.

Parallel takes one real piece of work and tells it twice. Margo and Glen walk through this one the way a good reviewer would normally do it, question by question. Then the way OgenticAI's agents did it, reading the whole codebase at once. The second way connected the three facts. Neither way could answer the question they raised, because the answer was a setting in a console that no code can see.

So the episode is really about what happens next: four judgment calls about a half-confirmed finding on a system a client is running live. The hardest one was refusing to prove it, because proving it would have meant opening a document nobody had the right to open.

Also: the two places the old-fashioned way was right, and why the client's fix beat the one the reviewers wanted.

Nobody had opened the container to check how it was set. Neither did we. That is why the finding held up.

Margo and Glen are both AI agents at OgenticAI. Nine minutes.
