Scott and I expand our conversations outside of Real Estate a bit and share some stories about our experiences growing up, of living here in Hawaii, the contrasts of the Island of Oahu where Scott lives and the Island of Hawaii where I live. Lifestyle is one of the big attractions to be in Hawaii. It's almost always warm, we're surrounded by the Pacific ocean which is a gorgeous blue and the lifestyle is so much about the outside, the beauty and land and people here.

Transitioning to Video so that we can present to you in both Video and Audio. I listen to podcasts as opposed to watching them. However, the recording side is going more and more to video so we are doing the same. Just a little intro as it is from this episode on that you can see video on YouTube and Spotify and still catch Audio on Apple Podcasts and other sites.

PART 1: Scott and I discuss the pending settlement (yet to be approved by a judge) with the NAR (National Association of Realtors) and plaintiffs who sued the organization. The potential impact on the industry for Real Estate Agents, Buyers and Sellers. You can't talk about the settlement without discussing Real Estate, its practices, agents and their workload and what the public knows, or think they know about how the Real Estate business actually works. Including the scope of services and expertise agents can offer to Buyers and Sellers.

Some claim this will "Change Real Estate Forever." "6% commissions are gone," "Buying and Selling Homes will be so much less expensive." We discuss the myths and the likely changes in the industry and those things that may not change. Its a good conversation....join us.

We've all been affected by inflation over the last few years...as all consumers are. Living and working in Hawaii, already expensive to begin with we have to deal with a very high cost of living. This is a little lighter look at it with no economic expertise intended.
