The horror of war in a time when some EU leaders would like to get the young killed at Kiev is more relevant than ever. Pat Mills to sum things up was to sequential art storytelling what John Lydon was to punk or Vlad al III-lea Țepeș was to impalers. Il est toujours émouvant de découvrir un nouveau groupe au potentiel fort prometteur. L'association de Luiça au chant, Bruno aux synthés et machines, et Mathieu à la guitare sous le nom de Cold Cause ne remonte qu'a 2024, sous l'impulsion d'un hommage a Joseph Beuys mais à l'écoute de leur premier album on a l'impression qu'ils ont profité d'années d'expérience. S'agit il de Neue Deutsche Welle , de post punk, de new wave , de Dark disco ....qu'importe ....pourvu que comme me le confiait un jour Dieter Meier de Yello : ''le bon art est celui qui provoque des réactions''. Voire même des frissons ou encore mieux des incursions dans des univers que l'on a plus envie de quitter. Alors qu'ils jouent en Suisse, en Allemagne ou encore en France vous seriez inconscient de ne pas venir assister a leur prochain concert. En attendant soutenez la cause et acheter derechef leur album ou un romantisme du béton, de l'acier et du néon fait se rencontrer une certaine tradition romantique germanique avec une modernité cyber punk motorik ! On ne présente plus Fifi Chachnil ! Mais si vous avez passé les quarante dernières années dans un monastère privé de communication avec l'extérieur -voici une séance de rattrapage ! Égérie des fabuleux Pierre et Gilles , Fifi Chachnil s'est illustrée en 1983 avec un EP en égyptien yahourt - Lahr'Niflet ! Puis elle habilla de nombreux artistes tels que Nina Hagen, Marc Almond, Helena Noguerra , Niagara et tant d'autres avant de lancer sa magnifique marque de Lingerie qui fête ses quarante ans de carrière ! Fifi chante il ne faudrait pas l'oublier - son dernier album: Love fut réalisé avec le soutien affectueux de Jean-Pierre Stora et Roger Pouly. Mademoiselle Chachnil c'est aussi une famille de coeur ou outre Pierre et Gilles on peut citer dans le désordre : Arielle Dombasle , Philippe Katerine, les filles du Crazy , Edwige, Philippe Eveno , Inès de La Fressange... Mais on en oublie .... Entrez , entrez par l'entremise de ce nouvel épisode dans le Fifiverse ! ou tout n'est que calme, joie , volupté et un certain ''je ne sais quoi'' (en français dans le texte) qui la rend unique dans le monde de la mode et de la chanson !

It's been quite a while that Marie Merlet aka Iko Chérie a french expatriate lighten up London and the rest of the world with her well crafted etheral pop. Before recording her wonderful ''Soft Centre'' Marie Merlet was involved in Monade (with Laetitia Sadier of Stereolab hall of fame , Lisbonne and Zooey. After her previous album ''Dreaming On'' released in 2015 suffice to say that the decade long wait was worthwhile courtesy of Pingipung records . A smashing label based in Hamburg and home of the great new album by Marie Klock and Anadol !!! A stamp of quality if you ask me!

Formed in 1978 The Monochrome set are now an institution. But not a dusty museum ''au contraire''. If the über sharp auteurs of ''Jet Set Junta'' are still going it's mainly because, Bid the ''maitre d'oeuvre'' of this whole post-punk Shindig is some kind of visionary. Without him Morrissey , Jarvis Cocker or Damon Albarn wouldn't have existed. And the whole music scene would have been different. Like the Velvet Underground or The Sparks , The Monochrome set are a band which underground influence overshadow their popularity. So even if the name of Bid is not as popular as the one of Bono , it's brillance stand the test of time. Check ''Lotus Bridge'' and wonder at the still strong relevance of Bid and friends Body Of work !'' -

Michka Assayas est bien d'avantage qu'un éminent rock critic , romancier ou encore animateur radio. C'est tout simplement un honnête homme au sens ou on le donnait au XVII ème siècle. Selon la formule consacrée , ''on ne guéri jamais vraiment de son enfance''. Autant alors l'explorer , le passé des années de formation éclairant le présent. C'est pourquoi ''Une mère en fuite'' que l'on soit admiratif du parcours de Mr Assayas ou pas se révèle être une lecture passionnante. Une plongée dans une époque et un monde si proche mais qui nous parait aujourd'hui lointain. Et surtout l'étude de caractère qui parlera à tous ceux et celles qui connurent des mères distantes.
