Why are a growing number of Black women leaving the church for Ifa, Orisha worship, and other ancestral religions, and what does the Bible say about the trade they are making? In Paid in Full | Sex and the Ancient Exchange, Pastor Marc Little, an attorney and political commentator, starts with a CBS Baltimore news report on women who worship Osun, the Orisha of beauty, sex, and sensuality, then follows the same exchange from Beyoncé's stage to a New Orleans love-spell shop to the pages of Scripture.

The episode takes the pain behind the exodus seriously, including church scandal, unanswered prayer, and hurt no pulpit addressed, and explains why a real wound does not make a counterfeit cure work. Marc then walks through Romans 1:25, King David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel 11, and the Baal of Peor in Numbers 25 and 31, showing how sex has been used to buy power, identity, and belonging from Eden to Shittim to today. He closes at the well in John 4, where Jesus offers the real thing to a woman who kept drinking from the wrong source.

If you have searched for answers on sex and spirituality, spiritual freedom, ancestral worship, Santeria, Vodou, Beyoncé and Oshun, or why people leave the church, this is a biblical and pastoral response from a pastor.
