The San Diego Padres just need to beat LA. Darren Smith and Marty Caswell discuss the Padres series versus the Dodgers with magic number of two with Michael King on the mound.

The two discuss how the weather may play a huge role in deciding the top National League wild card spot, with heavy rain expected in Boston for Red Sox versus Cubs, and how it might force a doubleheader on Monday.

Marty and Darren then welcome in ESPN's Alden Gonzalez to preview Padres versus Dodges, what he's expecting from Manny Machado, the impending return of Shohei Ohtani, Roki Sasaki and Andy Pages, and how much the Dodgers need the bye week to rest their aging stars. Is the best path through the NL playoffs through the Atlanta Braves or Chicago Cubs?

The three discuss the wild card race, what type of job Craig Stammen has done and the Padres dilemma in how they'll use Michael King in case they have a chance at the top wild card spot on the final day, Alden then previews his upcoming piece on the Padres new ownership group of Jose E. Feliciano and Kwanza Jones, and what's been so impressive about the Padres second half surge.
