DESCRIPTION
David’s testimony is one of the most powerful declarations of God’s love and deliverance in Scripture:“He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.” — Psalm 18:19 (KJV)
The same testimony appears again in 2 Samuel 22:20:
“He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.” — 2 Samuel 22:20 (KJV)
David had faced rejection, betrayal, warfare, persecution, and enemies who wanted him dead. Yet when he looked back over his life, this was his conclusion:
GOD RESCUED ME BECAUSE HE DELIGHTED IN ME.
David’s testimony was not that he never faced trouble. His testimony was that God was with him in the trouble and brought him into a broad place.
HE DELIVERED DAVID. HE BROUGHT HIM OUT. HE GAVE HIM ROOM TO BREATHE. HE ESTABLISHED HIM. AND DAVID KNEW WHY: GOD DELIGHTED IN HIM.
