In episode 4 of our second series of KickSpark, join Caren, Sheaian, Janine and James as they delve into the journey of the PFP Arise Centre in Mbita, Kenya, since its humble beginnings in 2022. Today the panel describes the Centre as "The embodiment of Handshakes not Handouts in practice".
Listen to the discussion that brings to life the training opportunities available to the local community - from tailoring, to 'boda boda' and most recently water engineering. And also how the team are planning to move Arise towards self-sustainability, through the water kiosk, PFP dignity packs and other revenue-generating initiatives.
