The FBI issued a grand jury subpoena last week for records tied to Arizona’s controversial 2020 election audit, marking the second publicly known jurisdiction under scrutiny in a Department of Justice investigation examining election-related activities from that year.

Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen, a Republican, disclosed Monday that he received the subpoena last week seeking records connected to the Arizona state Senate’s review of the 2020 election results in Maricopa County. Petersen said he complied with the request.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said that former President Bill Clinton’s deposition regarding his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein was superior to his wife’s due to his “Southern people skills” and charm.

Speaking with reporters after Bill Clinton’s deposition, Comer said the former president’s deposition was “productive,” and revealed that he “answered every question, or attempted to answer every question.” However, he said the answers are sure to invite more questions once the transcript is released.

  • Are there any more new details for the FBI to reveal about Epstein and Crooks?
    2025/11/21

President Donald Trump signed a bill into law on Wednesday to release documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, but an exact timeline is murky.

After a monthslong battle and obvious annoyance, Trump finally relented this week and approved Republicans voting in favor of the bill introduced by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY). In a post on Truth Social after signing the bill, Trump boasted that, “This latest Hoax will backfire on the Democrats just as all of the rest have!”

  • DOJ takes up Biden autopen usage and details on Jack Smith's GOP surveillance
    2025/11/01

The House Oversight Committee released a sweeping report on Tuesday finding that senior aides to former President Joe Biden exercised presidential powers without his knowledge or consent, aiding in his signing of executive actions, directing policy, and managing his public appearances as his cognitive decline worsened.

The 90-page report, “The Biden Autopen Presidency: Decline, Delusion, and Deception in the White House,” accuses Biden’s inner circle of running the government in his stead and concealing his medical deterioration through stage-managed appearances and manipulated decision processes. Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said the findings raise “constitutional and criminal concerns” about the validity of executive actions taken between 2021 and the end of his term in office.

  • Jack Smith emerging as face of DOJ alumni group combating Trump's legal actions
    2025/10/18

A group of Republican lawmakers led by Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has formally referred former special counsel Jack Smith to the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility for a misconduct investigation and urged his disbarment in two states, citing what they called “deeply disturbing revelations” that Smith secretly obtained their phone records.

In a letter sent Friday to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Blackburn and four other GOP senators accused Smith of violating constitutional protections and professional ethics rules when his team subpoenaed call logs from multiple members of Congress during the 2023 phase of the DOJ’s Arctic Frost inquiry, a forerunner to Smith’s election-interference prosecution of President Donald Trump.

  • What comes next in investigation of why FBI and Jack Smith was tracking US Senators
    2025/10/10

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said Thursday the committee will not hold oversight hearings into the work of former special counsel Jack Smith or the FBI’s Arctic Frost operation until the Justice Department releases more internal records about how federal agents tracked Republican senators during the Trump investigations.

Speaking at a Judiciary Committee hearing Thursday, Grassley referenced the revelation earlier this week from FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino that eight Republican senators’ personal cell phones were targeted for tolling data as part of the Biden administration’s Arctic Frost operation, which he described as “a politically weaponized investigation.”
