Prosecutors called it one of the only times in American legal history a Ouija board was formally entered into evidence, because it was the only thing in the room that explained the motive.

It started like any other night at Brian and Tammy Roach's house in Minco, Oklahoma — a farming town of about 1,400 people. Tammy's mother, Carol Sue Elvaker, was over, like she was most evenings. I'm Mischa Harper, and this week on the Decoffinated Podcast, I'm walking through what happened on February 11th, 2001.

If you're new here, Decoffinated unearths ghost stories, unsolved mysteries, and paranormal encounters — pour a cup and pull up a chair.
