That no man can see God and live is a closed case - it's true. And because it is true, Jesus, God the Son, took on human form, the Son of God, and fully God the Son, to reveal God to us, so we wouldn't die. In this episode, I trace the Bible’s teaching that Jesus is both fully God and fully man—the Godman who revealed God the Father. As Jesus says in John 14:9, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father.” Scripture presents one God in three distinct Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Although the word “Trinity” does not appear in the Bible, passages such as Genesis 1:26— “Let Us make man in Our image”—and Deuteronomy 6:4— “Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one”—express this truth. The Hebrew word for “one,” echad, can denote unity rather than a solitary individual. Genesis 2:24 uses it for the one-flesh union of husband and wife, who remain distinct persons—a picture of Trinitarian unity. I also examine passages describing how the eternal Son of God entered time through physical birth and took on human form, and why, as Savior, He had to be born of a virgin to fulfill God’s plan to die for the sins of the world. Here is a verse that tells that the Jews wanted to kill Jesus because He identified Himself as God: "...the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because...calling God His own Father, He made Himself equal with God" (John 5:18). God bless you as you listen. From my heart to yours, Dennis
