  • Choose your battles! Team of the season Part 2: Midfielders and Forwards
    2025/06/10

Alex fights for a Great Dane playing in West London to be included over Villa’s Belgian composer in our Other 14 FC Team of the Season.

With so many standout midfielders and forwards from Other 14 teams this season, we had a hard time selecting the final 6 players of our Team of the Season, but after some arguments, stat-checks and bickering we have settled on some excellent players.

Including Newcastle’s cultured centre forward and their captain fantastic, a Brentford player who managed 20 goals and a firecracker who has since left Wolves! There are also plenty of honourable mentions, specifically up front where the Other 14 had some notable strikers!

  • Team of the Season: Part 1 - Goalkeeper and Defenders
    2025/06/03

In the first of our 2 part podcast nominating Other 14 players for our Team of the Season, we run through the shot stoppers, the tackling machines and the engines that run up and down the wings all game.

It’s the Goalkeeper and Defenders section, plenty of debate was had but there was a general consensus between us on the best performing Other 14 keepers and defenders.

Next week it’ll be the turn of the midfielders and attackers, where the takes might get a whole lot spicier!

  • Well that... was ****ing dreadful
    2025/05/29

Just like that, the 2024/25 season ends with a whimper. Controversy for Villa despite a poor performance, Newcastle stumble into Champions League, defeat but a silver lining for Forest.

With nothing but pride to play for and giving their fans a final day cheer, the other matches were a bit of a damp squib but true to form we ran through them all. Elsewhere, we have props to Sunderland on their promotion and shouted out a former Black Cats striker in Peak Barclays.

  • Game of (long) Throw-Ins
    2025/05/07
Bournemouth and Brentford record outstanding victories in battles over Big 6 sides, utilising weaponry like long throws to cause chaos in the box. Villa keep the Champions League race VERY interesting and Leicester give their fans something to celebrate at home. Elsewhere a number of draws for sides playing for pride with their minds on the beach, whilst Newcastle are unable to overcome a Brighton side as both claw for some sort of European football next season. Finally, for your Peak Barclaysman we gave flowers to a big Finnish keeper who donned the colours of Bolton and West Ham, before predicting the future in a tough to call Matchweek 36.
