Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning faces a pivotal quarterback decision that could reshape the offense’s trajectory. After parting ways with offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer, the spotlight turns to Dillon Raiola, whose inconsistent play, including flashes of brilliance and costly lows, raises questions about his future in Eugene. Can Oregon afford to continue riding Raiola’s rollercoaster, or is a change under center the answer?

Eyes now shift to Akili Smith Jr., the promising blue-chip recruit with NFL pedigree, arm talent, and a track record of smart decision-making. As Oregon prepares for high-stakes matchups against Northwestern and Ohio State, is it time to let Smith ease into the rotation and see if he can deliver the stability and upside the Ducks desperately need? The quarterback battle is heating up, and the program’s next move could define the season.
