Wei Lin, who entered the transfer portal after last season, is back with the Oregon Ducks — a rare move that adds much-needed consistency to the guard rotation. After playing three seasons in China and averaging 6.6 points and 1.7 assists while starting nine games, Lin showed flashes of potential, including a 23-point performance against Rutgers. Despite some struggles with consistency, his return gives coach Dana Altman a key piece as the Ducks rebuild with eight new transfers, including Johnson and Payne, while navigating eligibility hurdles with other recruits.

Oregon Ducks brace for a grueling 2026-27 Big Ten season with a packed, travel-heavy schedule featuring four cross-country road trips, back-to-back clashes with Michigan State and Michigan, and a critical February stretch against Maryland, Illinois, and Purdue. Coaches face the challenge of managing player fatigue while building depth with returning point guard Wei Lin — though eligibility for transfer Malique Ewin remains uncertain. With a full 15-player roster and non-conference games nearly locked in, Oregon’s early performances will be pivotal for postseason hopes as they head to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Tournament in March.

Oregon Ducks women’s basketball just unveiled a brutal 2026-27 schedule designed to prove they’re NCAA Tournament-bound for the third straight year. Starting with the Cancun Challenge — three games in three days against tournament-caliber teams — they’ll face Big Ten giants like Maryland, Purdue, and Iowa at home in January. The real test comes later: hosting UCLA and closing with USC, a potential national title contender. This isn’t just about wins — it’s about building momentum, boosting rankings, and sending a message that Oregon belongs on the biggest stage.
