Our Country Climb Star of the Week, Christopher James, joins The Morning Brew with Chris Bennett & Best Friends!
Christopher’s Country Climb is a little different. Before stepping out with his own country artist project, he had already spent more than 20 years serving as a professional musician in the U.S. Army, building a career as a performer, producer, arranger and engineer.
Christopher takes us from growing up in small-town Ohio and learning guitar while deployed in Iraq to performing with the U.S. Army Band in Washington, D.C., experiencing some incredible pinch-me moments with major names in music — and eventually getting the call to open for Garth Brooks.
We also hear the story behind his new song, “What If I,” which he took from start to finish in just three days.
Plus, Best Friend Dave Rowe calls in for a little Fun Fact or Fake Fact and plays for four tickets to see headliner Don Friesen September 26 at the Show Low Elks Lodge.
A huge thank-you to Shawn Burke, Austin Burke and the Playlisted Podcast for introducing us to another great independent country artist.
Follow, subscribe and share The Morning Brew with another Best Friend who might enjoy our morning show shenanigans!
