  • Season Finale- Keep Going Through Your Process
    2026/10/18
This season has been about radical acceptance—but not the easy version of acceptance. It has been about transition, loss, stripping away, discomfort, uncertainty, and learning how to keep moving when life changes in ways you cannot control. In this season finale of Open My Eyes Podcast, the message is simple: keep going through your process. You may not understand why certain people, places, relationships, or circumstances are being removed from your life. You may feel like you are losing, starting over, or being pushed into situations you never asked for. But sometimes the process is not punishment. Sometimes it is preparation. This episode reflects on letting go of control, facing yourself honestly, embracing the difficult parts of growth, and learning to accept that change is part of becoming who you are meant to be. The season may be ending, but the process is not. Keep going. Keep growing. Keep becoming. This is not the end. This is the beginning. 🌐 Listen, connect, and catch up on previous episodes: https://openmyeyespodcast.com 💚 Support Open My Eyes Podcast: Cash App: $OMEP29

  • Residue
    2026/10/04
Transition doesn’t always mean everything from the last season stays behind. In this episode of Open My Eyes Podcast, the conversation centers on moving from one environment into another and realizing that some of the emotional weight, stress, fear, and unresolved experiences can follow along. That leftover weight is the residue. Residue explores what it means to recognize what is still being carried, take ownership of the present, choose battles wisely, protect peace, and refuse to let difficult circumstances stop forward movement. Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t simply leaving a situation. Sometimes it requires doing the inner work so the situation doesn’t continue traveling into the next chapter. This episode offers a real-time reflection on transition, resilience, turning pain into purpose, and learning how to release what no longer belongs.

It explores the internal battle between holding on and letting go, the desire to control outcomes, and the difficult realization that you cannot build your life around potential alone. • Ain't Adding Up
    2026/09/20
Sometimes you can do everything you thought you were supposed to do—put in the time, give the effort, make the sacrifices—and still look around and wonder why none of it seems to add up. In “Ain’t Adding Up,” I speak openly about what happens when life doesn’t match the vision you had for it. I talk about disappointment, loneliness, depression, exhaustion, betrayal, and the painful realization that sometimes the things we fight hardest to hold onto are the very things keeping us from rebuilding. This episode isn’t about pretending everything is okay or covering pain with positivity. It’s about facing what’s actually there. It’s about accepting where you are, taking accountability for what belongs to you, letting go of what doesn’t, and realizing that the keys to your own freedom may have been in your hands the entire time. Sometimes rebuilding means returning to ground zero. Sometimes it means calling your energy back, learning to stand by yourself, and stopping the habit of pouring everything into people and places that don’t pour anything back into you.

  • Acceptance
    2026/09/13
What happens when the life you planned begins to fall apart? In this deeply personal episode of Open My Eyes Podcast, Nathaniel Dewees explores acceptance through the metaphor of his first experience with airplane turbulence-the fear, the loss of control, the instinct to hold on, and the unexpected peace that came when he finally loosened his grip. From disrupted dreams and broken expectations to relationships, isolation, personal accountability, and the pressure of building a new life, Nathaniel reflects on what it means to stop fighting reality without giving up on yourself. Acceptance is not defeat. It is not surrendering your future or deciding to stay where you are. Sometimes acceptance is simply acknowledging what is beyond your control so you can reclaim responsibility for what comes next. Life will disrupt plans. It will throw curveballs. It will change relationships, challenge expectations, and take us through places we never intended to go. But disruption can also carry a lesson-and acceptance can become the bridge between the life that did not happen and the life still waiting to be lived. What have you been struggling to accept? What might that acceptance be trying to show you? Sometimes freedom begins when we finally loosen our grip. "Today, I accept my freedom."

  • Do Something
    2026/09/06
Season 6 • Radical Acceptance Episode 7 — DO SOMETHING There comes a point when recognizing the pain is no longer enough. You can be frustrated. You can be disappointed. You can be tired. You can admit that something defeated you, hurt you, changed you, or didn’t turn out the way you expected. But then comes the question: What are you going to do about it? In Episode 7 of Season 6, “Do Something,” Open My Eyes Podcast explores what happens after radical acceptance. Not the kind of acceptance that tells you to stay stuck, but the kind that allows you to acknowledge exactly where you are, give yourself grace, and still choose to move forward. This episode gets personal about frustration, failure, surrender, accountability, generational patterns, the inner child, and the uncomfortable work of going back to the root of what continues to show up in our lives. At some point, we have to stop allowing our past, our pain, our disappointments, and what other people did to us to continue controlling the present. We can complain. We can get angry. We can cry. We can become discouraged. We can even want to quit. But eventually, we have to decide whether we are going to stay there—or do something about it. Pain can become purpose. Frustration can become movement. Hardship can become information. And what once felt like something designed to destroy you can become an opportunity to understand yourself, heal, grow, and become something different. Sometimes the real battle isn’t with everything outside of us. Sometimes we have to sit down at the table with ourselves. Go back to the root. Face what is there. Take responsibility for what belongs to you. Give yourself grace for what didn’t. And do something about the life you still have in front of you. Season 6: Radical Acceptance Episode 7: Do Something Keep growing. Keep healing. Keep your eyes open. Open My Eyes Podcast https://openmyeyespodcast.com

  • Imma Keep Doing, What I'm Doing

Season 6, Episode 6 — Radical Acceptance Sometimes doing the work doesn’t feel rewarding. You can heal, grow, become more self-aware, set better boundaries, invest in yourself, and still look around wondering, “When is any of this going to pay off?” In Season 6, Episode 6 of Open My Eyes Podcast — “Radical Acceptance,” I get real about where I’ve been these last few weeks: the loneliness, frustration, disappointment, anger, emotional exhaustion, and the uncomfortable thoughts that show up when life doesn’t look anything like you thought it would. This isn’t an episode about pretending everything is okay. It’s about learning how to accept where you are without deciding that where you are is where you’ll stay. I talk about what it feels like to watch other people seemingly receive the relationships, connection, and happiness you’ve been working toward while you’re still sitting with yourself doing the work. I talk about questioning the journey, questioning myself, being tired of healing, and still making the decision to keep moving forward. Radical acceptance doesn’t mean you have to like what’s happening. It doesn’t mean you can’t be angry. It doesn’t mean you can’t cry, vent, get frustrated, or want to walk away. It means you don’t build your home there. You can acknowledge the pain without surrendering your future to it. And this episode is also a personal milestone: it is the first official podcast recording produced through Open My Eyes Podcast Studio, something I spent a tremendous amount of time building from the ground up. If you’re tired, frustrated, questioning your progress, or wondering whether all the work you’ve done on yourself has been worth it, this episode is for you. Keep going. Your current reality is not the final measurement of your progress. Keep growing. Keep healing. Keep your eyes open. Season 6: Radical Acceptance

Sometimes life doesn't fall apart all at once—it slowly begins to unravel.

You step into a new season believing everything is finally lining up, only to watch opportunities shift, plans change, relationships disappoint, and the future you imagined suddenly feel farther away than it did yesterday.

In this episode of Season 6: Radical Acceptance on the Open My Eyes Podcast, we share an honest reflection on navigating unexpected setbacks, financial uncertainty, changing careers, personal disappointment, and the difficult process of giving yourself grace when life doesn't unfold according to plan.

But this isn't a story about staying stuck.

It's about learning how to evaluate your life without condemning yourself, recognizing growth you couldn't see before, documenting your own transformation, and discovering that even painful seasons still carry purpose.

Sometimes what feels like failure is actually preparation.
Sometimes what feels like delay is actually development.
And sometimes the very thing trying to bury you becomes the foundation you rise from.

If you've been questioning your progress, feeling behind, or wondering whether your hard work is paying off, this conversation was made for you.

Because growth isn't measured by how perfect your life looks...
It's measured by who you're becoming through it.
