In very rare fashion on this podcast, today's episode features someone I've known of and respected for many many years but had never met prior to our conversation. Pete is a legend and it was such an honor to have him on the show! We get into growing up on the border, the early days and meeting Selena, his first experience in the studio, Spanish lyric translation, Flaco Jimenez and the collab with Chris Perez and Louie The Singer, writing what you know and much more! We didn't have time for soooo many things I wanted to talk about so you can definitely count on a part two of this conversation the future.

Uncle Kevin! We've been talking about this since before the podcast started over three years ago and FINALLY made it happen! Kevin is a brilliant, talented and hilarious human, as well as a country music legend. We dive right in and cover so many things like real estate, being a grandpa, wearing hats, 4 million + miles on the road, why he uses a straight mic stand, not getting to retire, getting pitched bad songs, staying hip, selling your catalog, overnight successes, the overhead costs of touring, and funny stories from the road.
