In this gentle Cozy Corner mini meditation, children are invited to pause, settle their bodies, and notice one small breath.
This short calming meditation is a companion to Nono the Swimming Giraffe and is perfect for children who are learning to try new things, feel nervous sometimes, or need a peaceful moment to reconnect with their body.
During this quiet breathing practice, children imagine sitting beside a peaceful pond, noticing their breath, placing one hand on their heart, and remembering that it is okay to feel calm, wiggly, brave, nervous, or anything in between.
This mini meditation supports emotional awareness, self-trust, mindfulness, body connection, and gentle bravery.
☁️ Episode features:
A peaceful pond visualization
Simple breath awareness
Hand-on-heart grounding
A calm, cozy pace
Positive affirmations from the story
📖 Themes:
Breathing, bravery, trying new things, friendship, emotional safety, mindfulness, and self-awareness.
🌱Reflection questions:
What does your breath feel like today?
Where do you feel calm in your body?
What is one new thing you might like to try?
🌼 Parent tip:
After listening, invite your child to place a hand on their heart and take one slow breath before trying something new. This gives them a small, simple tool they can return to anytime.
Before the meditation ends, children are invited to say three kind affirmations:
I can try new things.
My friends care about me.
I am brave even when I feel nervous.
