This week Pastor Tim Shiels encourages us and challenges that "we are here to be light." Not to think about performance but to think about attitude. Your attitude is part of your witness. What becomes brighter because of your presence? On the good days and on the bad days, you are called to be the light of the world. As we connect with God, we are called to love people well so they can connect with the light.

Throughout Scripture God introduces himself to His people through a number of names that describe his character and His countenance towards us. Today we dig deep into the name Jehovah Jireh (Yahweh Yireh), which means The Lord Who Provides.

Genesis 22:1-18

Pastor Tim talks the importance of celebration, remembering- building altars, and sitting at the feet of Jesus. Are we so preoccupied with "the next big thing" that we have forgotten to celebrate what God is doing now? Are we letting our busyness get in the way of encountering the Lord?

This week Rev. Ellie challenges us to ponder on the resilience of our faith even if storms come. When you stand on sand you don’t fall, you crash. Through Noah’s story we reflect where our heart is at. Through Daniel’s story we reflect if we are meeting God daily. Through Thomas’s story we reflect if God’s word is enough. Are we standing empowered?

This week Pastor Tim talked about living in peace. When you are at war inside your heart, your responses and engagement with people are not the best. Don't allow your past to become the courtroom and for you to be the judge. There is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus. Peace with ourselves is fruit of relationship with the Father.
