Ole Miss just beat LSU. So are we finally ready to call Lane Kiffin's team a legitimate contender?

This week on The Sad Fan, Frye breaks down a massive week across college football and the NFL, starting with Ole Miss' statement victory over LSU and another impressive performance from quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.

But the result leads to a much bigger conversation:

How much SEC hype is based on what teams have actually accomplished—and how much comes from reputation?

We're reaching the point in the season where preseason rankings don't mean nearly as much. Now the supposed contenders have to prove it.

And we've got some HUGE opportunities to do exactly that.

Michigan vs. Iowa gives us a fascinating offense-versus-defense matchup and a chance to see whether Iowa finally has enough offense to complement its defense.

Georgia vs. Oklahoma gives two major programs another opportunity to establish where they actually belong in the national picture.

Then there's Texas vs. Tennessee.

Frye has been waiting for Texas to put all that talent together, and with Arch Manning leading a roster loaded with NFL potential, this could be the game where the Longhorns finally make their statement—or Tennessee completely changes the conversation.

Then we're heading to the NFL, where Frye has an interesting comparison for Jalen Hurts: Eli Manning.

Not because they play the same way—but because when games get ugly and the pressure gets ridiculous, Hurts continues finding ways to deliver.

Meanwhile, the Chargers are struggling, the Dolphins have questions to answer, injuries are changing expectations across the league, and we're starting to learn which preseason narratives were completely wrong.

We're talking Ole Miss, LSU, Lane Kiffin, Trinidad Chambliss, SEC bias, Michigan-Iowa, Georgia-Oklahoma, Texas-Tennessee, Arch Manning, Jalen Hurts, the Chargers, Dolphins and everything else that made you sad from the previous week.

🎙️ The good. The bad. And everything that made you sad.
