    The Six Shooter, “Red Lawson’s Revenge,” originally broadcast October 25, 1953, is episode 6 of the NBC Western series starring James Stewart as drifting cowboy Britt Ponset. Written by Les Crutchfield and directed by Jack Johnstone, this sustained broadcast finds Britt riding toward Walnut Creek to visit his friend Dan Mayler.

    On the trail, Britt encounters Red Lawson, a man determined to settle an old score connected to his brother’s death. As Britt hurries to warn Dan, the danger reaches Dan’s home, where his wife Mary and their young child may be caught in Lawson’s revenge.
