Oklahoma just landed a massive recruiting win with four-star tight end Connor Arant, a 6’6”, 245-pound powerhouse from Bixby High School, who chose Norman over elite programs like Alabama and Ohio State. Already a three-time campus visitor, Arant is ranked 219 overall and 12 among tight ends in his class — and fourth-best player from Oklahoma for 2028. His commitment pairs perfectly with fellow four-star commit Kaeden Penny, signaling strong local talent and future chemistry for the Sooners as they build a dominant 2028 class.

Oklahoma’s run game imploded against Michigan as they abandoned their explosive backs like Lloyd Avant—despite averaging over six yards per carry—favoring passing instead, even when the ground attack was working. Running backs got shockingly few carries compared to QBs and receivers, especially in a close game where balance was crucial. With New Mexico next, offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle must fix this mess fast—or risk repeating the same mistakes.
