Saturday Sept 20, 2025 at Highline Archery Club (Newark, AR) will be hosting a Redding Style Shoot. This is their 2nd annual orange dot shoot and they're doing big things in our neighbor state to the East! Sit in and listen to Eric Boozer detail how the event has grown and what you can expect for the 2025 installment of "Little Redding in the Grove"

8am start time based on "tee time" in intervals of 15 minutes (register to reserve your spot). $40 entry fee plus a $20 bonus blind draw team shoot for anyone interested in a side pot. Classes added this year for Women's Bow Hunter set up and Youth classes (50 yard max). 2 arrows per target scored 11, 10 and 8 for a possible 660. Come try your skinny arrow set up on a fantastic course and hang with some great folks over in the Natural State and check this event out of you are looking at hitting Redding or Wabash in 2026!

They are doing several door prizes, including a bow giveaway. $250 bonus money in the team shoot side pot, food vendor on sight, and $25 fun rounds on Sunday!! come take a trip and try to hit this one if you can!

Ryan Thomason of Dickson, OK is fresh off his 4th pro season shooting in the ASA Men's Open Pro Division and has a bombshell announcement. Ryan will be relocating his shop/academy formerly known as "G2" to his hometown of Dickson and rebranding as "The Bow Shack" with the Oklahoma Shooting Academy in a fresh new location complete with outdoor range expansion! Ryan details some of his thought on where he is taking this new venture and welcomes back his supporting cast of academy supporters to the next big thing in Oklahoma archery. Lawson Veit from Stillwater, Oklahoma is a certified Oklahoma Archery Legend. Lawson attends Lindenwood Academy and will be entering his Junior year of undergraduate studies fresh off a summer of slinging arrows in the Men's Known Pro Division of the ASA. Lawson earned the "Rookie of the Year" Title after his first competitive season in the Pro division and would up Runner-Up for "Shooter of the Year". A Pro debut season could not ask for more, with Lawson making 3 of the 5 Pro/Am Shoot Downs earning podium finishes and making his presence known on the pro range. Lawson shoots for Elite Archery, Show Me Bowstrings, Shrewd, Truball, Scott, Altra Arrows and Down-Range Optics! We got to pick his brain on set-up, equipment, tuning and the mental aspect of competing at the highest level with one of the youngest pro archers to make a splash in not only 3D but indoor archery as well. The Boys from Oklahoma look forward to indoor season and talk shop about all the tournaments in the upcoming year. Rick is tasked with filling the seats at his upcoming deer conference aimed at educating new to deer hunting individuals and veterans of the sport alike! Ron Plummer made a showing out of the Mathews Archery ASA Pro/Am at Metropolis this past weekend. Competing in the Semi-Pro class Ron was atop the leaderboard for the first win of his career. Recently switching to the Darton Sequel 35 proved to be a great move and we're looking forward to discussing yardage judging, mental preparation and the highs and lows of tournament archery. Ron is a staff shooter for Shibuya and Altra Arrows and they came in clutch for the big win at the tournament for him this past weekend. David Griffin from Elgin, OK is the 2025 OSAA State Unmarked 3D Champion in the Adult Male Freestyle Class. David shoots for G2 OSA out of Ardmore, OK and Darton Archery. We pick David's brain about his 3D setup and yardage judging strategy. We talk a little about how we are working to overcome target panic and breakdown some helpful tips on how to talk yourself through the shot. David is also an avid hunter and we put Bouska to sleep with stories about chasing elk, mule deer and whitetail.
