The Oilers cut ties with rookie goalie Ryan Cameron, sending him back to junior hockey, but don’t worry—he’s got a future at Boston College. Three other tryouts also got the axe: Weston Cameron (who got in a scrap), Kyle Heger (who scored a late goal), and Olli Wahlroos (who didn’t light up the ice). All are headed back to junior leagues, with college hockey on the horizon. The team gears up for their pre-season opener against Winnipeg this Saturday—time to see who’s ready for the real grind.
