  • S2 Ep3 - Worst thing that happened to the Church
    2026/06/16

What is the worst thing that ever happened to the Church?

In this thought-provoking episode, we tackle a question that sparks deep discussion around the table: Was the greatest threat to the Church persecution from the outside—or confusion from within?

Using the film The Jesus Revolution as a launching point, we revisit a time when revival swept across America and thousands came to faith, only to watch subsequent decades become marked by public scandals, fallen leaders, and a growing distrust of organized religion. We discuss the impact of high-profile ministries, the moral authority once held by Christian leaders, and how events surrounding televangelists, church scandals, and the fallout from abuse allegations profoundly affected the way the world viewed Christianity.

    But we don't stop there.

As the conversation unfolds, we ask whether the Church's deepest wound may have come from forgetting who she is.

When our identity becomes rooted in personalities, politics, popularity, denominations, cultural acceptance, or earthly success, we become vulnerable to deception. Scripture teaches that our identity is found in Christ alone, yet many believers—and even entire churches—have drifted from that foundation.

We also discuss a generation that questions everything, challenges authority, and increasingly walks away from the faith. Is this simply rebellion, or have we failed to provide compelling answers rooted in truth?

Drawing from themes found in The Return of the gods, we explore how ancient ideas of worship, power, fertility, success, and self-exaltation continue to manifest in modern culture. We examine how language, symbols, and even the definition of truth itself have become battlegrounds in a culture struggling to define reality.

From the purpose of the rainbow to the rebranding of ancient forms of worship, we discuss how spiritual forces often work not by creating new lies, but by redefining old truths.

This episode is not about fear. It's about clarity.

Because when the Church remembers who she belongs to, culture loses its power to define her.

Join us as we discuss identity, truth, deception, revival, and why the answer to today's confusion may be found in returning to the same Christ who transformed lives during the Jesus Movement.

The world may change its definitions—but God's truth remains unchanged.

  • S2 Ep2 - Where Do We Underestimate Spiritual Warfare?
    2026/06/08

Where does spiritual warfare really begin?

Most people imagine spiritual battles as dramatic moments—major temptations, life-altering decisions, or obvious attacks. But what if the real battlefield is much smaller, much quieter, and much closer than we realize?

In this episode, we explore one of the most overlooked aspects of spiritual warfare: the subtle ways we're pushed, nudged, and influenced every single day. As followers of Christ, we're called to walk in the light, yet we often find ourselves facing a constant stream of frustrations, distractions, temptations, and offenses that seem insignificant on their own—but can become dangerous when they begin to stack up.

A driver cuts us off in traffic. A coworker lies to our face. Someone gaslights us, insults us, or deliberately pokes the bear. We brush it off... until the next thing happens. And the next. And the next. Before long, what seemed like small annoyances have accumulated into bitterness, anger, resentment, or an emotional explosion.

We discuss how spiritual warfare often operates through the small compromises rather than the catastrophic failures. No one wakes up one morning and decides to destroy a marriage, abandon their faith, or wreck their life. Those outcomes are often the result of countless small decisions, unchecked attitudes, hidden wounds, and tiny compromises that slowly move a person off course.

We also examine a fascinating parallel from counseling and therapy. Effective therapists rarely focus solely on the crisis in front of them. Instead, they often trace the problem back months—or even years—to uncover the root cause. What started this? Where did the wound begin? What was left unresolved? What small issue was ignored until it became a massive problem?

Could spiritual warfare work the same way?

Join us as we discuss the danger of overlooking the little things, the importance of guarding our hearts, and why some of life's biggest battles are won—or lost—long before we realize we're in a fight.

Because sometimes the enemy doesn't need to knock down the house. He only needs to loosen a few bricks.

  • S2 Ep1 - The Invisible War
    2026/06/01

    Welcome back to the studio!

This week, we're taking a trip down memory lane—to the days of Saturday morning cartoons, bowls of Peanut Butter Crunch, spilled milk on the living room carpet, and fierce battles over who got control of the TV remote. From He-Man and the Smurfs to Snorks and Thundercats, life seemed a little simpler back then.

But as we reflect on those childhood memories, we're reminded that the battles we face today look much different.

In this episode, we discuss the reality of spiritual warfare, the struggles that often happen behind the scenes, and the unseen battles that many believers face. We share some recent experiences wrestling with discouragement, opposition, and the very real presence of evil in our world. We also talk candidly about how our church family has been navigating a season of intense spiritual attacks and what it means to stand firm when the enemy seems determined to gain ground.

The truth is, the good old days don't come back—but God remains faithful in every season. Whether you're feeling weary, discouraged, or simply wondering why life feels like such a battle sometimes, we hope this conversation encourages you to keep your eyes on Christ and remember that you're not fighting alone.

Grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and join us as we talk cartoons, childhood memories, spiritual warfare, and the victory that ultimately belongs to God.
