  • Bob Lawrence and Spreading Awareness
    2025/10/28

    October 29th, 2025

I met Bob and chatted for the first time about a week before we recorded this episode. We live about 4 houses apart, and his stoke fueled the fire for both of us. Sitting down on the mic with Bob was fantastic, and his voice is spectacular over the mic, don't you think so?

  • S1 E7 John Blair and Luck Favors the Prepared
    2025/10/27

    October 27th, 2025

John "Swan" Blair kicks down the door with this one, and for the first time not at a library. Swan walks us through his serendipitous transition into sports photography in a very composed manner, while shedding light on a phrase or two I have never heard.

  • Alex Frasz and Being in the Moment
    2025/09/01

Frasz and I touch base at the Northside Digital Studio and get to connect on the first part of the national parks road trip with the campulance, aka: Dorothy. We get into the build and systems, hitting the road, followed by the everglades.

Frasz gives some great insight while I battle another collection of technical obstacles. Looking forward to recording a part II of this conversation and getting more into the Alaska portion of the trip.

    Enjoy!

  • Nelson Doe and OG Stoke
    2025/08/08

Nelson and I discuss tried and true tactics for dog training, engineering (as much as I can comprehend), pebble wrestling as well as a little disc golf. We do while recovering from an indoor bouldering session at VA followed by day trip to Salt Fork for some outdoor bouldering. Nelson keeps the stoke alive, and I hope you enjoy!

Nelson turned the champagne question on its head by asking me first, and I'm thrilled he did.

  • Tia Thé and Never Waste a Crisis
    2025/07/22

Tia educates me on paradigmatic shifts, evolution vs revolution, Formula 1 analytics, and other topics with fantastic input regarding Franklin Sousley's presence in Iwo Jima. Tia's energy is infectious, and I hope it comes through the mic. With comments like "The question isn't what did I do wrong, but what is possible?" and feeling like "a turkey in the grocery store"... I am all but certain this will be a delight.

    Shout Outs:

Grant & Jess - Thank you both for the enthusiasm and tangible feedback as I discussed the possibility of a podcast, and now that is becoming more of a reality.

Nelson Doe - thank you for planning the Salt Fork bouldering extravaganza, and for booking time in the Westerville library for an episode. I look forward to it bubbling to the surface.

Eric Hegedus - thank you for the ongoing support and feedback, and let me know when you'd like to be on the mic. I'm looking forward to it.

Stephen Ritchie - I hope the shout out wasn't too disruptive and that you are sitting somewhere pleasant (and quiet) right now.

Chase Russell - thank you for the calls as you get a chance to listen to the episodes. I love the input and thoughts and look forward to incorporating them (even if it hasn't happened yet...)

Alex Frasz - thank you for coming down to Lexington to record an episode, and for the feedback regarding what's already out. I appreciate you.

  • Michael Harr and Lifelong Learning
    2025/07/08

Michael and I sit down for an insightful conversation in the audio booth at the Northside public library. He walks us through what teaching (or guiding) land management to Montessori students looks like as well as coaching ultimate frisbee. We hit on both physical and mental preparation, reading and writing, as well as fostering an appreciation for the outdoors. Michael is super well spoken and I hope you enjoy the conversation.

  • Danny Khoe and the Comeback Club
    2025/06/23

Danny and I connect in the audio booth at the Northside public library in Lexington. We discuss his move to Cincinnati brought on by professional ultimate frisbee, a transition from chemistry and phlebotomy into his entrepreneurial endeavor with: the Comeback Club. The conversation continues well from Raph's input on happiness and support, and I hope you find some value in it.

  • Raph Carranza and Winners Win
    2025/06/17

Raph and I sit down for a conversation in the Green Room at the Dayton Main Library. We talk about happiness, supporting others, change, and a handful of other topics. It makes sense that his energy has gotten him to where he is today, as he directs and guides the dialog in great style. He ropes us in by suggesting he'll be "fodder" on the mic, but I think he's more gold than he'd let on. Raph has already succeeded in putting a smile on my face, and I hope his enthusiasm finds its way to you.
