So, what happened? ONEOK had some big news today. They announced they’re raising their guidance for 2026 and launching a $1 billion stock offering. Yeah, that one stung a bit for investors. When companies do offerings, it can feel like they’re diluting the value of existing shares, and folks get a little jumpy. So, people hit the sell button pretty quickly.
Now, why did this happen? Well, it seems like they’re trying to grab some cash to fuel their growth and maybe pay off some debts. They had some solid Q2 results, and that got Freedom Capital all hyped up, giving them a "strong-buy" rating. But then, this stock offering kinda threw a wrench in the gears. Investors are usually all about the upside, and when a company says, "Hey, we need to sell more shares," it can make them a bit nervous.
And speaking of nervous, ONEOK’s got a 60,000-mile network moving gas, oil, and NGLs, which is a big deal for energy demand. That’s a solid backbone for the company, and it’s something to keep in mind as they push forward.
In other news, Evanson Financial just dropped $2.67 million into ONEOK. That’s a nice chunk, showing some confidence despite today’s little hiccup.
So, to wrap it up, ONEOK had a red day, mainly due to that stock offering news, but they’ve got some strong fundamentals backing them up. Just remember, this is all for info and entertainment, not financial advice. Keep it chill, and I’ll catch you later!
