Here is the live show from Sunday to bring the curtain down on ND after almost 14 years. It’s been a wonderful journey. The show was originally founded and formulated, to introduce and bring newer and fresher sounds to a niche audience who were still hungry to want to hear new music beyond the same old school stuff. For the large part I think it’s been successful in doing just that. Bringing new sounds and introducing new styles for those people to begin their own journey of exploration. But now with such a proliferation of music access points, for people to find the music and begin those explorations, I feel ND’s purpose has become somewhat diminished.
I’m not hanging up the headphones completely, and I’m sure that I will pop up here and there on the internet soul stations, but for now it’s time for ND to take its final bow. Thank you to everyone that has joined me on the journey across the years.

Here is the latest ND show that went live on Sunday. Featuring a more soulful vibe to this weeks ND set with some great new sounds in amongst a few classics, and a few listener posts/requests in there for good measure. So over the holidays I found myself with time to take the journey to revisit and listen to lots of music that served as the idea behind the creation of ND and formed the basis of the show in its early years. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to so many great vibes that still remain fresh even now, and I thought that it would be a shame not to do something with that and so the idea of doing several "retro" podcasts/shows came to me. So here is the first of those podcasts that I also went live with. Thanks to the handful of souls who joined an impromptu live session. For this show I have focussed on some of the more danceable elements played on the ND shows around 2011-12. I will do another one of these at some stage soon but I hope you enjoy this one for now.

And so after a break of 7 months the show is back live on the Mixcloud platform for a 6 month season at least. This is the first of those shows that went out on Sunday. Featuring the best in Broken beat, Soulful House, Dancefloor Jazz.
