In this episode of Twisted Teachers, we're diving headfirst into two hot-button education topics that have educators and parents buzzing:
📵 Phone-Free High Schools:
What happens when schools leap to ban cell phones completely? We explore the growing trend of phone-free campuses, the backlash, and the research backing it—especially Jonathan Haidt’s new book The Anxious Generation, which links rising teen anxiety and social disconnection to smartphone use.
🛒 The School Supplies Controversy:
It’s that time again—back-to-school shopping. But this year, some parents are pushing back. From complaints about lengthy, detailed lists to accusations that schools are overstepping their bounds, we break down the rising tension between schools and parents over who should be responsible for basic classroom needs.
