  • #38 Pray, Purpose, Victory: How Jesus Overcame hardship
    2025/04/19

    Send us a text

How do we not run from hard things or hard times, that curve ball that life just threw at us? When all we want to do inside is take off and run? It’s all coming at us at one time.

Look at how Jesus did it. Where was his focus when hard came into his life while he was on this earth.

1st Pray-Jesus kept his focus on his father, God. Jesus many times went off by himself to pray, to be in the presence of his father to gain strength, gain power, God’s power for the ministry and for the cross, the battle that was ahead of him.

2nd Jesus focused on his purpose. Jesus had blinders on. We must have blinders on, keep our focus on our purpose.

3rd Jesus focused on the victory. Jesus never lost sight of where he was headed, Jesus knew exactly why he was born, for the cross but he also knew the cross wasn’t the end, but he had to go through the hardship of the cross before he got to the resurrection, and to where he is now at the right hand of the throne of God.

The next time life throws you a curve ball and you are facing hard things, & hard times. Ask yourself and be honest with yourself where is my focus?

***Prayer God help me to redirect my focus to you, it’s not an easy thing to do when life is hard or we are going through something hard. Help me trust you God and trust that you are in control, and you have a plan. Help me draw closer to you, God. Help me have authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and overcome all the power of the enemy, because I am connected to you. It’s you that they submit to. Give me the victory in Jesus’ name we pray.

  • #37 The fatal look back, Why Lot's wife looked back
    2025/03/15

    Send us a text

Genesis 19:26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

This verse reminds us not to look back. It cost Lot’s wife everything, her very own life. Now, let’s look at examples of what Lot’s wife was possibly looking back on and maybe not wanting to let go of. The Bible does not provide exact details about her thoughts, but these possibilities can help us understand why she might have looked back and how it reflects our own tendencies to hold on to the past.

Her home, her belongings, the things that filled her home. We get attached to material things, finding it hard to leave behind the comfort and familiarity of her environment. Community connections, leaving behind relationships, her friends, her best friend, strong social ties (well known in this community, well liked in this community). Maybe she feared, could I even build any friendships somewhere else or better friendships that I had there. The list can go on and on.

*If God tells you to get out, you better get out. If God tells you to go you better go. If it’s a home, if it’s a town, if it’s a job, if it’s a relationship, if it’s a church, if it’s a ministry, you better go, get out. And don't look back.

***Prayer-God I admit that I have looked back to places in my life because of cherished memories and experiences. I got stuck there, like a hamster wheel, going nowhere just looking back. I was thinking that was the best of the best. Thinking that’s all you had for me. That’s all I was going to have, were those memories and those experiences and there wasn’t anything better ahead for me and my family, but I was wrong. You have given me new memories, new experiences, a new beginning. Isaiah 43:18-19, See, I am doing a new thing!

    Focus Forward my friend.

What will your children, your grandchildren, great grandchildren, be inheriting from you? They will inherit something from you, and do you know you get to choose what that will be. So, you have a decision to make.

Will you transfer your fearful spirit OR a warrior spirit? Your doubt, your uncertainty OR your confidence, your certainty? Your worry OR your trust in God? Your lack of faith OR your growing faith? Your laziness, your lack of effort, your procrastination OR your determination, your focus, your drive? Your fight OR your fight? Your Running OR Your No More Running-I surrender to God, his presence, his voice, his purpose for your life.

  • #32 Why do hard things, hard times come into our life?
    2024/04/06

    Send us a text

On today's episode Crystal helps us understand why hard things or hard times come into our life. We first talk about the ways we handle those times. She gives us 5 different reasons/possibilities we are facing those hard times or hard things that come into our life.

First, We are in a spiritual battle. Second, God allows that hard thing to come in our life. We see this in Job's life. Third, By our own doing, by own choices, Jonah is a perfect example. Fourth, We reap what others sowed. As children we reap what our parents sowed. Fifth, Life is just so darn hard. In this life we will have troubles.

The next time something hard comes into your life or if you find yourself in a hard situation right now. Ask God to reveal to you.

    · God why has this hard thing, or hard time come into my life?

    · God which of these 5 reasons is it? Is it any of these reasons at all?

    · Write down what God reveals to you in your journal.

    · Pray over what God reveals to you.

God loves us in our running days, and in our not so running days too.

    · This too shall pass, & brighter days are ahead.

    · No Thing is too hard for God.

  • #31 Mary the mother of Jesus-Saying Yes to a Higher Calling
    2024/03/23

    Send us a text

I still remember the night I whispered a childish prayer for my future husband, never imagining the profound journey it would spark—a journey that led me to confront my deepest fears and finally say, 'No More Running.' In a candid sharing of my story, we walk through the transformative power of facing God's callings head-on, inspired by Mary the mother of Jesus. As I open up about once dreading the thought of marrying a preacher, you'll see how my tale weaves into the broader tapestry of embracing divine assignments with courage.

This episode is a heartfelt rally cry for those of us who've felt the pull to run when our purpose becomes clear. By examining how Mary's faith during her visitation and subsequent blessing from Elizabeth bolstered her resolve, we'll uncover the strength that comes from steadfast belief in God's plan. It's more than a personal narrative; it's a supportive guide for women wrestling with their potential, offering a glimpse into an exciting new venture designed to coach and uplift. Join me, Crystal Loyd, as we transition from avoidance to engagement, stepping confidently into the roles we're called to fulfill with trust and belief.
