Niecy Nash-Betts is an actor, TV host, author, producer, director, and kitchen beautician. After years spent playing comedic roles in The Bernie Mac Show and Reno 911!, it was in her 40s that she finally landed the dramatic roles she’d spent years working towards, in films such as the Oscar nominated Selma, TV shows Getting On, and When They See Us.
