概要

Brooklyn comedians Hanna Gerlander and Nora Fried spotlight a New Yorker of the Week and alternate between interviews and biweekly Just Us chats. Come for NYC stories, comedy, pop culture, and chaos. Smart, absurd, and weirdly heartfelt. If you’re confused, don’t worry. Just listen, and you’ll get it.Nora Fried and Hanna Gerlander

  • New Yorker of the Week: The Final Episode (For Now)
    2026/02/26

It’s our last New Yorker of the Week episode. For now. We know. We’re emotional too.

After many long voice memos, Google Docs, budget spreadsheets in a notes app, and one dramatic “are we insane?” conversation, we’ve decided to put the podcast on pause. Making this show has been one of the most joyful, creatively unhinged, time-consuming, and financially questionable things we’ve ever done. And we wouldn’t trade a second of it.

What started as two Brooklyn comedians with microphones and delusions of grandeur turned into something we’re so proud of. Our friendship grew in ways we truly didn’t expect. Wolf...watch out. We are closer than ever and yes, we are still comedy wives.

To everyone who listened, DM’d, came to live shows, requested feet pics, came on as an unhinged guest, or told us “hey - you guys have something here," we love you. And to everyone else... we have a list with your name on it.

This episode is a love letter to the show, to New York, to you, and to the version of ourselves that said, “Sure, let’s start a podcast” but hey... sometimes the most New York thing you can do is pivot.

GIGANTIC SHOUTOUT TO OUR DEAR PRODUCER SEAN! Truly, what a gem of a human.

Thank you all for spending your Thursdays with us. We’ll see you around the city. Xxx

  • New Yorker of the Week: Just Us and Everyone Except Jill Zarin
    2026/02/19

We cover Nora’s recent Bahamas trip where there was somehow no food, debate whether we’re cruise or land people, and assign ourselves roles in the event of a plane crash. Productive.

We spiral about what we’d do if we had no jobs, gush about our love for Alone and The Traitors, and yes, celebrate Jill Zarin getting cut from the RHONY reboot. Some news simply heals a city.

  • New Yorker of the Week: Emma Haberman, A Therapist on Love, Dating & Valentine’s Day
    2026/02/12

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we’re joined by New Yorker of the Week Emma Haberman, a New York City–based licensed psychotherapist, for a grounded, thoughtful conversation about love, dating, relationships, and how to approach February 14 without fully spiraling.

Emma Haberman, LCSW, is a therapist who works with individuals and incorporates somatic (body-based) therapy into her practice, helping people better understand their emotional patterns, nervous systems, and internal responses, including how those show up in dating and relationships. Her work blends insight, compassion, and practical tools for building more awareness and self-trust.

In this Valentine’s Day themed episode, we talk about:

    • Why dating and relationships can feel so activating

    • What attachment styles actually look like in real life

    • How somatic therapy helps you understand emotional reactions

    • Rethinking Valentine’s Day in a way that feels authentic

    • Approaching love with curiosity instead of self-judgment

It’s reflective, accessible, and exactly the kind of conversation you want in your ears while navigating love, dating, or simply being a person with feelings.
