The Knicks just added John Konchar, a savvy veteran with NBA experience, to fill out their roster ahead of the season. Waived by Minnesota, Konchar brings solid two-way play — averaging nearly six points and six rebounds last year while contributing on defense. With 14 players now signed and still room to move before final cuts, the Knicks are building depth as they prepare for the grind ahead, even as they navigate decisions around other prospects like Tyler Nickel and Jack Kayil.

In a wild NBA twist, six-foot-ten forward Igor Milicic Jr. was signed by the New York Knicks on an Exhibit 10 deal—only to be waived 12 minutes later. Undrafted in 2025, Milicic spent time with the 76ers’ G League affiliate, averaging 7 points and 5 rebounds, but his Knicks stint was a fleeting experiment. Now, he’s eyeing a return to the G League, where he can earn a bonus if he stays with Westchester for 60 days. A brutal reminder: in pro sports, fortunes shift faster than you can say “next opportunity.”
