  • There Is No Competition! Dismantling Scarcity in the Art World
    2025/05/01

In this episode, Victoria explores the illusion of competition in the art world—and how letting go of it can lead to deeper creative confidence and connection. She breaks down why scarcity thinking keeps artists stuck, and how we can reframe comparison, rejection, and success on our own terms.

Whether you’ve felt discouraged by rejections or found yourself comparing your path to others, this episode is a reminder that there’s room for everyone. Victoria shares personal stories and offers a mindset shift—from seeing others as competition to seeing them as community.

There’s no scoreboard. No trophy. No one path. When we release the idea that we’re falling behind, we begin to trust the rhythm of our own journey—and that’s where the real magic happens.

  • Why Having a Day Job Can Actually Benefit Your Art Career: Let's Reframe the Narrative
    2025/04/17

In this episode, Victoria unpacks the often unspoken truth that many artists have day jobs—and that’s not only okay, it can be incredibly beneficial. She shares how having a day job can support your art practice financially, provide opportunities to build meaningful connections, and give your creative work the time and space it needs to evolve without pressure.

Victoria encourages artists to let go of the shame or stigma tied to having other sources of income and reminds us that your job doesn’t define your identity as an artist. In fact, it can be part of the journey that strengthens it.

  • Persistence Over Perfection: The Key to Building a Sustainable Art Practice
    2025/04/10

In this episode, Victoria shares why persistence—not perfection—is key to building a sustainable art practice. She encourages artists to release the pressure of rigid routines and instead embrace a flexible, intuitive approach that honors their season of life.

Whether you’re creating in short bursts between responsibilities or deep in studio flow, it all counts. Victoria also highlights artists like Jill McDougall and Brandy Hofer, who model what it means to stay connected to your practice in creative, adaptable ways.

This episode is a gentle reminder that there’s no one “right” way to be an artist—and every small act of showing up matters.
