  • Better Communication: Non-Violent Communication
    2023/09/15

This podcast is dedicated to teaching you about how to communicate better with loved ones, friends, roommates and anyone else this may apply to.

Deirdre goes over some ways in which you can use this method. The main template Deirdre uses and teaches (adapted by Marshal D. Rosenberg's work) is:

"I fee/felt (insert feeling word) when (insert objective content) and I need(ed) (insert need)."

    and

"You feel/felt (insert feeling word) when (insert objective content) and you need(ed) (insert need)."

It should be emphasized that feelings can ben hard to identify and so can needs - and keeping things objective can often be hard. This is why going to the website below and searching up "feelings inventory" and "needs inventory" may be helpful if you want to use this method.

I also encourage you to read the book - linked below (audio version- highly recommended) to learn more about how to use this method and think differently about how to communicate more effectively.
